New Vocabulary

Judo wascreated by Jigaro Kano in Japan as a physical, mental and moral pedagogy. It startedin 1882. Its objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent to the ground.  To compete they wear a White uniform called Judogi, made with heavy cotton.  There are three ways to get a victory in a competition. The first one is known as "Tachiwasa", it consists shooting down perfectly the opponent on his back. The triumph is obteined with imoobilizations in the elbow joint which neutralize completely the opponent. Nowadays, it is considered as a modern martial art which later became a combat and Olympic sport.
